Dentons Venture Tech supports The Accelerator

As part of its commitment to Canada’s startup ecosystem, Dentons’ Venture Technology group in Canada has recently negotiated a cooperative arrangement with The Accelerator, a Canadian seed accelerator—based in Calgary—that provides curriculum, services, seed money, mentors and connections at two five-month programs per year.

Dentons’ Venture Technology professionals share The Accelerator’s goal to get startups through the first phase—where the startup has a strong foundation and is ready to start raising money on a larger scale.

As part of its exclusive arrangement, Dentons will mentor program participants on relevant topics in the startup world, including the best time to incorporate, importance of IP protection, tips on capital raising, drafting shareholder agreements, and more.
