Mark Asfar

Innovation is always thrilling to me, whether it takes the form of entirely new technology or a different approach to a pre-existing market and problem. I am excited to work with entrepreneurs, businesses, and investors exploring new and creative ways to approach problems. As a part of Dentons’ Venture Technology and Emerging Growth Companies sector group, I also work with clients in a wide variety of industries and business landscapes, including technology (both software and hardware), research commercialization, and health tech. My approach to tough legal questions is to never say no, but instead ask “what are we trying to ultimately achieve and what are the different ways we can get there?”

As a corporate lawyer, my practice focuses on a range of matters including start up formation, corporate re-organizations, financing, mergers and acquisitions, and complex corporate governance matters. I take pride in guiding my clients, whatever their role or industry, through challenging issues and providing practical advice and clear solutions.

In my free time I can be found tinkering with technology, including custom computers and mechanical keyboards, or walking my adorable dog, Paddington.
