I have provided intellectual property and fund raising strategies to disruptive high growth businesses for more than 20 years. Whilst every business is unique the opportunities in fast moving technologies have been staggering and the lessons learned on such journeys have proved invaluable. As a patent attorney and investor with a strategic global viewpoint, my role is to work closely with founders and c-suite execs all over the world to design and implement global IP strategies that are proportionate and yet capable of putting businesses in command of the sectors they are disrupting. There are many challenges and obstacles to getting this right but with quality data and smart decision making around IP, doing business becomes less risky and the IP generated provides significant value and commercial leverage with all types of external parties. Teaching businesses how to build IP asset value and use IP as a tool to deliver commercial objectives is core to what I do. I am also a partner in a Venture Capital Fund and so I have seen first hand how world class IP can influence commercial deals, trigger exits and underpin company valuations. No question too small because it is never too late to begin getting things on track.
